Why we test every idea on its own web page first
An idea on paper costs nothing and proves nothing. An idea on a web page proves whether real people want it.
One idea, one address
Every idea we test gets its own address, like petvan.dvgrouplv.com. One page, one promise, one form. Its own numbers, its own results. When the test ends, the page is easy to remove.
The rules (our current ones)
- The test runs 14 days.
- At least 100 visits and at least 8 in 100 sign up: we build it.
- Under 3 in 100 sign up: we stop and write down why.
- In between: we change the page once and try again.
Why a separate address
- The numbers stay clean. No mixing with other ideas.
- A dead idea does not clutter the main site.
- A live idea can grow into its own company without moving.
What we do not do
We publish our own ideas. We never publish somebody else's idea without their written OK.
See the ideas we are testing right now on the home page, under "Ideas we are testing".
